Matt Mills – Strength and Conditioning coach

Matt was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland. He grew up playing hockey as an X athlete and began working with the company in 2019. Matt recently completed his bachelor of kinesiology at Memorial University, with aspirations to work within the field of strength and conditioning.

Being a fresh face in the world of strength and conditioning, Matt is determined to advance his expertise in the field through  continued education. He also looks to combine his educational knowledge with his love for hockey to bring out the best while training athletes.

Jeff grew up in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland, where he played multiple sports, including hockey, soccer, and squash. Being involved in sports as a child is where Jeff developed his passion to work in a training and rehabilitative environment, focusing on athletic performance. 

In 2014, Jeff graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with an honours distinction. Following this, in 2016, Jeff attended Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he completed a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy.

 

Outside of the clinic, Jeff serves as the Physiotherapist/Trainer for the U18 AAA Pinnacle Growlers, the St. John’s Sr. Caps Hockey Club, Hockey NL’s High Performance Program, Ball Hockey NL’s Junior Program, and has been selected multiple times to be the Team Physiotherapist for Team Canada at the World Junior and Masters Ball Hockey Championship. 

In addition, Jeff holds a Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from Sports Physiotherapy Canada. 

Jeff utilizes hands-on, proven methods of treatment with many elite athletes within the province, aiding in their athletic success on the provincial, national, and international stage. 

In 2022, Jeff founded Attain Physiotherapy & Sport Performance Centre with the goal of providing an appropriate environment for athletes to rehabilitate injuries, train at an elite level, and develop their performance to achieve their goals and prevent injuries.
